Hi! I’m Mia Atteberry, and I write and edit works of art.
I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing. I specialize in creative nonfiction writing that tells a story, poetry that has an infatuation with the mundane, food writing that reminds us our senses help us create art, and Christian devotionals that speak to faith and truth. I also offer frontline editing and proofreading—catching the little things that change everything, so your message is clear and powerful.

I believe language is more than communication. It’s a place where truth meets imagination, vulnerability blooms, and where the sacred can dwell in the everyday. My Craft & Process
When I write, I pull threads of memory, faith, and wonder. My pieces are inventive, expressive, vibrant—not content with the surface, always willing to explore what’s underneath.
When I edit, I become your second pair of eyes, navigating both line-level clarity and the emotional architecture of your text. I deeply believe in respecting your voice, while making sure every word pulls its weight.

A Little About Me Outside the Page
When I’m not writing, I could spend my days simply walking—through city streets, quiet paths, or along a neighborhood sidewalk—soaking in the rhythms of life. I also love cooking: stirring, tasting, and transforming humble ingredients into something luminous and nourishing. These simple practices feed my imagination and deepen my connection to my work.
I have traveled much—from the coastside streets of Slovenia and the small towns of Spain to the hidden cenotes of Mexico—and hope to travel more, but nothing gives me more life than home. I hope to bring that sense of home into writing projects, collaborative meetings, and the stories I tell.
